Busy Month! Panama City Beach this Week!

October 12, 2017

Had a very busy past couple months playing writers rounds, performing downtown, and touring around with Operation Song. Not to mention starting back school! It’s been a blast so far, and I am super excited about performing in Panama City Beach, Florida October 13-18th at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge! It’s going to be a lot of fun, and a great way to spend my fall break playing music. 🙂

NSAI Pick to Play Contest

June 29, 2017

I’m so blessed to perform and write with some very talented songwriters in Nashville.  I consider these people my friends, and we all collaborate on music and just have fun spending time together.  As part of my trip to the Country Stampede Music Festival in Kansas, I also took part in the NSAI “Pick to Play” songwriters contest as well as performing on the NSAI songwriters stage at the festival.  I was so fortunate to win in the women’s division for the songwriters contest, and was excited to see one of my friends, Logan Tucker win in the men’s division.  We both had a great time playing our original music on the main stage at the Country Stampede, and I can’t thank Ken Matthiesen with NSAI enough for this opportunity!  He traveled with us on this journey, and I have had the good fortune to collaborate on music with talented songwriters like Ken in our hometown of Nashville, TN.  Hope you enjoy and God Bless!

Back From Kansas!!

June 26, 2017

Well I’m back home in Tennessee after a great weekend in Manhattan, Kansas.  I had a great time performing at the 2017 Kicker Country Stampede, June 22-24, which is a huge outdoor country music festival at Tuttle Creek State Park.  Over 100,000 people attended the event, and I played on the NSAI Songwriters Stage on Thursday and Saturday with some of my great friends from Nashville.  On Saturday night, I got to perform on the main stage of the concert right before Old Dominion and Alan Jackson!!  It was unbelievable to perform in front of tens of thousands of people and it is an experience I will never forget.  It also makes me work that much harder towards my dream of one day being on that stage (and others) as a regular country music artist.

I can’t thank all the people enough that made this dream come true.  I want to thank God for the opportunity and the blessings, thank my friends from Nashville for supporting me, and a big thanks to Jackson and Drew for performing with me on stage!  Also want to thank my parents for being there for me and traveling with me.  I love you all.  I’ll post a video of my performance and some other pics in the next few days.  See you soon!

Signing autographs after my performance!!  Too much fun!

June 5, 2017

Hey guys, it’s been a while since I updated my blog posts, but life has been crazy since I started working as a staff member and performer for Tootsies Orchid Lounge in Nashville, TN.  Since December, I’ve played almost 100 shows at Rippys, Tootsies, and Honky Tonk Central on Broadway.  It’s tough to keep up with everything, but I have had so much fun during this time, met a lot of great people, and truly feel blessed for the opportunities I’ve been given!  Life gets better every day.

The 2017 CMA Festival kicks off this week in Nashville, and will take place June 8-11 right here in the heart of Country Music.  If you’ve never been to CMA Fest, you have to come see us!!  Some of the best country music artists will be playing during the festival, and you can attend free outdoor concerts every day while taking in the sights and sounds of Nashville.

I will be performing every day this week at Rippys on Broadway from 2-6 pm, and I’ll even be playing the big outdoor stage on Broadway from time to time as well.  Since I also work as a staff member for Tootsies for their business operations, I have been given the responsibility of being the CMA Festival entertainment coordinator.  So not only will I be playing music in Nashville, I will also be scheduling and working with different music artists throughout the week.  It will be a crazy week!

Come to Nashville for CMA Fest, enjoy some great music and food, and please remember to stop by and say hi.  I can’t wait to meet you!

God Bless

I had an amazing time getting to listen and talk to Kathy Mattea last week! Her voice and music was unbelievable, and I could not believe I got the opportunity to meet the woman whose songs I have been listening to since I was a little girl. Great way to end out my first semester at MTSU! Thank you so much to Dr. McCusker for introducing me!3
